2012 seems like a long way off, but I’m finding my passport tonight and sending it off tomorrow to get updated.  Trying to find a travel agent with experience in Central Asia………..

Team Amerikhan is going (with all luck) to participate in what is known as “the greatest adventure in the world”, otherwise known as the Mongol Rally.  For those uninformed of the nature of this glorious endeavor, to put it shortly, it is is a motorized (hopefully) trek from London to Ulaan Baatar, the capital of Mongolia.  Basically, get in a vehicle with a 1.0 liter engine sized (or less, if you dare) and travel on some of the worst roads on the planet, through deserts and over mountains, on whatever route you can come up with.  Is it dangerous? Yes.  Is it somewhat insane?  Depending on the definition of insanity, most likely.  Is it fun?  Hopefully.  Is it the experience of a lifetime? Definitely.  We willl be posting over the next year and a half as we make preperations for our epic journey.  More details to come…….
